Job Description AECOM** is looking for a Billing Specialist I to assist the Finance Services team of the DCS and Consulting Services Group. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of office and remote schedule and will be based Thornhill, ON.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Under direct supervision, prepares billing for clients, to include review of invoices and back up documentation received from subcontractors.
  • Billing reviewed by the Project Manager prior to submission to client.
  • Track project expenses, ensure compliance and communicate with internal teams to resolve any billing related queries.
  • Involvement in reconciling accounts and processing payment releases.
  • Review initial project setup and documentation provided.
  • General excel knowledge.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements**:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting or a related field or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Billing and Cost Analyst a plus.
  • Prior Experience with Federal and Joint Venture Billing is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Experience building and maintaining strong internal relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, completeness, and thoroughness.
