Your Impact Through Innovation

  • Conceptualize, design, and develop packaging solutions for sterile medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate new package concepts and technologies for feasibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from test results to optimize packaging designs.
  • Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures required for packaging processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and constraints.
  • Stay updated on emerging packaging technologies and materials.
  • Independently plan and schedule activities to meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure smooth execution of projects.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to investigate design, material, or process failures.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues and improve packaging performance.

Your Unique Expertise

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in packaging design and development is an asset, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for package design and tooling development.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for medical device packaging is an asset, such as ISO 11607 and FDA regulations.
  • Experience with rapid design iteration and making design recommendations.
  • Ability to independently develop and adapt work plans based on vague or changing project goals.
  • Strong hypothesis-driven experimental design and statistical analysis skills.
Asset Skills:
  • Related experience in medical devices with a focus on Research and Development.
  • Knowledge of design requirements as per 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485.
  • Experience with drafting and maintaining DHF and DMR documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
