We are seeking
a Journeyman Carpenter.

This position entails the successful completion of various carpentry duties, alongside collaborative efforts with the team to meet the company's aims and aspirations.

What you'll do:

  • Assembling prebuilt wall, floor, and roof structures.
  • Measuring, cutting, assembling, aligning, and installing various construction materials as per specifications and standards.
  • Installation of roofing elements and exterior windows and doors.
  • Conducting interior work, such as fitting interior doors and casings.
  • Estimating material and labor expenses for projects, encompassing costs for labor, wood materials, and fasteners.
  • Collaborating with general contractors, framers, clients, and suppliers to oversee and finalize projects within specified timelines and resource constraints.
  • Ensuring the availability of necessary materials and supplies.
  • Reading and comprehending basic blueprint layouts.
  • Perform all framing, exterior finishing and roofing tasks under limited or no supervision.
  • Provide on the job training to others on all tasks and operations; act as an expert in all operations.
  • Taking a proactive role in problemsolving sessions and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhering to quality control procedures.
  • Maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in residential framing.
  • Journeyman Carpenter certification.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Proficiency in building codes.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT software is an asset.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Familiarity with both imperial and metric measurement systems.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments.
  • Physical capability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
