Are you a First Nations, Metis, or Inuit professional who is passionate about helping Indigenous communities across Turtle Island (Canada)?
We're looking for you to join our team as a Manager/Senior Manager, Indigenous Client Services from select locations across Canada.
Changing community demographics, increased business activity and governance demands, complex financial systems and a lack of investment capital and training are key considerations for businesses, charities, governments and entrepreneurs today. Building relationships between businesses, educational institutions, government entities and healthcare partners is integral to achieving successful outcomes.
KPMG's Indigenous Client Services (ICS) professionals serve the unique needs of Indigenous organizations, communities and cultures across Canada. Backed by years of experience in working with a multitude of industries and agencies, we work with our clients, providing them with the technical knowledge and insights necessary to succeed.
As the Senior Manager, you'll collaborate closely with KPMG Partners on tax matters, covering planning, due diligence, M&A, compliance, and tax exempt status. Your role will involve directing junior staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness in their work, and researching to help clients understand their tax and compliance issues. Building long-term relationships within our organization and with clients and stakeholders is essential. You'll also partner with First Nations clients and Indigenous-led organizations, leading engagements and providing tax planning expertise. Utilizing an understanding of the Indian Act, you'll plan and organize teams for tax returns, conduct tax research, advise on planning opportunities, and review junior staff's work. Your contributions will be pivotal in meeting client needs, providing ongoing support, and fostering professional development within the team.
If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in tax advisory services and engage with Indigenous communities, we encourage you to apply today
