About the Position

This role is responsible for planning, analyzing, implementing, and evaluating continual enhancement opportunities for existing equipment and processes to support Manufacturing Engineering.

Your Duties
  • Utilize root cause analysis to address internal quality issues (ppm) and boost productivity (OEE – overall equipment efficiency)
  • Identify quality enhancements and prevent defects by devising and deploying mistake-proofing fixtures and devices
  • Prepare capital projects and secure quotes to justify the acquisition of new equipment for continual improvement purposes
  • Carry out Engineering Feasibility Studies (EFSs) to assess labor and material cost-saving opportunities
  • Initiate Process Change Notifications (PCNs) for modifications to the current manufacturing process
  • Maintain updated product information (FMEA, process flowcharts, instruction sheets, etc.) and ensure accessibility
  • Lead quality and productivity-focused meetings for designated products and maintain accurate meeting minutes
  • Update metrics, presentation materials, and tracking documents for monthly Quality Operating System (QOS) reviews
  • Identify and implement labor efficiency improvements wherever feasible
  • Keep the plant layout current with up-to-date product line configurations
  • Assist the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in coordinating the introduction of new production equipment and operator training to meet standards and obtain final approvals
  • Serve as a technical liaison between management and vendors
  • Update and obtain customer approval for packaging forms related to new business and upload to OEM packaging databases
  • Perform any other necessary tasks
Desired Qualifications

We are seeking a results-driven individual with a focus on continual improvement. Someone who values time, is self-motivated, and enjoys the fast-paced nature of manufacturing processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a community college diploma/certificate
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with FMEA is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of MRP systems is a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Solidworks is beneficial
