Systems Programmer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and versatile AV Systems Programmer to join our team at NDS Integration, a leading AV integration company based in Vancouver, BC.

In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for designing, programming, installing, and maintaining audiovisual systems primarily using Crestron and Q-SYS technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

AV Systems Programming:

  • Design and program audiovisual control systems using Crestron and Q-SYS platforms.
  • Customize user interfaces and system functionalities based on client specifications.
  • Test and debug programmed systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

System Maintenance & Support:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams.
  • Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on AV systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • You may be required to be "on-call" before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and/or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work.

Leadership Duties:

  • Mentor and train junior technicians on Crestron and Q-SYS programming, installation techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Supervise installation teams, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and within project guidelines.
  • Act as a technical resource for complex projects, offering guidance and expertise to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV system programming and installation, with expertise in Crestron and Q-SYS technologies.
  • Proficiency in Crestron Simpl Windows, Q-SYS Designer, and associated programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of audiovisual technologies, including audio processing, video conferencing, streaming, and control systems.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and projects effectively.
  • Industry certifications such as Crestron Certified Programmer (CCP), Q-SYS Level 2 Training, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, problemsolving, and customer service skills.
