Thank you for your interest in Durham Region's new up and coming restaurant - OneTen Kitchen + Bar with an anticipated opening of Summer 2024 This concept will not just be about serving delicious food; we'll be curating experiences through a restaurant that has heart, good values, great people and innovative ideas to redefine dining experiences.

We look forward to partnering with local flavours and farm-fresh produce to add a bit of everything to our menu.

We want to combine tradition with innovation that makes it approachable to all.

When curating the menu, we want every dish to be elevated but approachable to welcome all guests through our doors.

Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal skills: Hosts need to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner in-person or over the phone, so strong communication and people skills are essential

Guest service: Providing exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction and create a positive dining experience

Menu knowledge: Understanding the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens to make recommendations and answer guest questions

Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple tables efficiently, and ensure that food and beverages are delivered promptly
:

Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other restaurant staff, including kitchen workers, bartenders, and fellow servers to deliver seamless service
:

Attention to detail: Accuracy in taking orders, delivering the correct food and beverages, and ensuring that guests requests are fulfilled
:

Problem-solving: Quickly resolving issues or handling guests complaints with a positive and proactive attitude
:

Adaptability: Being able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle stress, and adjust to changing circumstances in the restaurant

Availability: Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Previous experience: Knowledge of OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus as well as previous role as a Host in similar establishments
