We are currently looking for a Full Time Clinical Perfusionist to join our Perfusion Services team at Royal Columbian Hospital located in New Westminster, B.Fraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.9 million people in 20 diverse communities from Burnaby to Fraser Canyon on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish and Nlaka'pamux Nations.

Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, Perfusion Services, Cardiac Anaesthetist and Cardiac Surgeon, provides technical support in the direct application of extracorporeal perfusion techniques.
Manages myocardial perfusion and protection techniques including cardioplegia delivery systems, topical cooling pads and myocardial ischemia monitors.# Utilizes a variety of techniques such as hypothermia, haemodilution, haemoconcentration and autotransfusion as adjuncts to external circulation and support.
# Administers blood products, drugs, anaesthesia vapours, crystalloid solutions and medical gases as directed by Cardiac Anaesthetists and surgeons.
# Maintains strict sterile technique.
# Participates in perfusion science and related medical research projects.
# Graduation from a recognized program in Perfusion Science plus two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
