Wage range:
$18-$22hr + $1.25hr shift premium

Shift:
Monday-Thursday 10hr shifts 3PM-1:15AM

Duties & Responsibilities:

Operation of various CNC mills and lathes

  • FANUC-HAAS/Heidenhain/SIEMENS controllers
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints
  • Machine parts to tight tolerances and verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances and complete inspection records as required
  • Maintain direct work area and CNC machine for cleanliness
  • Assist with 5S and organizational initiatives
  • Assist with creation of work instructions for repeat jobs
  • Maintain fixture rack organization (labeling, updating fixture spreadsheet)
  • Preparing tooling and fixturing for upcoming jobs
  • Deburring machined parts for various jobs
  • Attend employee meetings and safety talks as required
  • Perform other tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Some experience in CNC machining environment
  • Ability to perform physical labour
  • Willingness to learn new skills and desire to accommodate requests
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
  • Crane experience considered an asset
  • Basic understanding of the ISO 9001 quality management system
  • Basic understanding of OH&S Legislation and Health & Safety best practices
  • Available to work overtime as business demand requires
  • Have excellent organizational / time management skills; attention to detail
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Microsoft Office experience would be an asset
