Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining sites to the highest levels of cleanliness; achieving high client audit scores.
  • Establish strong productive working relationship with the client.
  • Ongoing training of colleagues in the correct cleaning procedures, ensuring adherence to the company's policies/procedures and WHMIS training.
  • Advise Operations Manager of any changes in building requirements that may necessitate changes in the work schedule or invoicing.
  • Establish work schedule and maintain accurate daily records of hours worked by each employee.
  • Supervise, lead, motivate and develop employees within assigned duties and accomplish daily, weekly and project specified cleaning tasks.
  • Advise the branch office of all new or terminated employees and ensure that all employment documentation is properly completed.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of all areas to ensure work is being carried out in accordance with procedures and scope of contract. Implement corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure that periodic work is scheduled and completed on time in accordance with the account requirements.
  • Obtain all special requests from the client, branch management and ensure that requests are carried out promptly and efficiently and complete work order.
  • Ensure Health and Safety requirements are followed and maintained. Report to Operations Manager any issues for any employee injured on the job.
  • Order supplies as per company policies and procedures and always ensure proper control over stock.
  • Maintain a record of all equipment and ensure all equipment is kept clean and serviced. Manage and control company equipment, supplies and materials inventory.
  • Issues janitorial supplies and equipment to workers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. Supplies order, inventory, and accuracy of the orders within the budget.
  • Conducts inspections and investigates tenant complaints of the building to check for cleanliness and advises subordinates of found conditions and methods of correction.

  • Financial analysis and project management skills

  • Ability to work in multiple sites as a team leader
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Effective problemsolving skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Health and Safety background
  • Manage ISO requirements and managing KPI'S

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience within the cleaning industry is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Understanding of health and safety issues.
  • Required to be flexible in adjusting workloads of staff to manage around absenteeism and special projects.
  • Required to be on call for emergency situations.
