Abilities, Skills, Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of service standards, as they relate to various types of banquets/meetings, restaurants, and events.
  • Hold a valid drivers license Duties and Functions Essential:
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Scanway standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel, restaurant, and banquet events
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper business attire and nametag when working.
  • Prepare schedules for banquets and restaurant team
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll.
  • Coordinate all events related to food and beverage requirements with the appropriate departments.
  • Keep the kitchen informed of accurate hose count for next three days for their planning for breakfast and other meal periods.
  • Review menu/service with catering managers and chef.
  • Maintain up to date details on all event functions and communicate to supervisors.
  • Responsible for ongoing training of supervisors/hourly employees when necessary to maintain standards of service and profit margin.
  • Ensure all event orders are sent to Scanway accounting with final payroll, consumption and any additional billing required
  • Bring to the General Manager and Scanway all materials and equipment that require ordering or need to be replaced.
  • Requisition liquor, etc. for event bars.
  • Reconciliation of bar after the catering event
  • Daily shift report at the end of the shift.
  • Actively involved in social media/Web site/TripAdvisor
  • Support and coordinate content creation, promotions, and marketing activities for one 50 on Willow as well as for the Scanway Implementation of digital strategy which includes:
  • content development and community management of all social media platforms.
- management of website content and user experience.

  • Coordinate advertising campaigns and promotions for the venue and event organizers, including liaising with external suppliers, making recommendations based on target demographics and budget management.
  • Support partner/client engagement activities including project management, event activations, promotional strategies and more.
  • Provide support for other marketing and communications initiatives including development of media material, speeches, newsletters, and other material as assigned.
  • Working and coordinating with preopening marketing, branding and web site team.
  • Inclusion and updating one 50 on Willow in TripAdvisor with a goal of being top 10 restaurant in Truro
  • Must be able to work weekday, weekends, and evenings.
