POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced leader to spearhead our product, design, and engineering organization in an early-stage venture within HomeEquity Bank. The ideal candidate will champion the vision, set the course, and provide leadership to our teams. They should be able to guide our teams through uncertainty with confidence and clarity and drive the vision forward with resilience and adaptability.

Their primary focus will be on crafting exceptional customer experiences that drive sales and delight users, while also establishing robust engineering processes to ensure seamless delivery.

Reporting to the Managing Director of the division, this pivotal role will collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders and teams to ensure that product and engineering efforts align with organizational objectives, playing a key role in the success of our venture.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE

Key accountabilities of this position include:

  • Lead and grow the product and technology teams.
  • Formulate and drive the overall product strategy aligning with the company's vision and goals.
  • Align the technology strategy with the product roadmap and business goals
  • Formulate hypotheses based on market insights, setting clear learning objectives to validate assumptions and outline experiment requirements.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond. This includes defining product requirements, prioritizing features, managing development sprints, and coordinating cross-functional teams (business operations, growth, sales & marketing) to deliver high-quality products.
  • Champion agile practices that provide a foundation for iterative product development in response to key insights from customer validation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including the executive team, communicate product & tech strategies, share key updates and address concerns and feedback.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and pain points to inform decision making and lead to sustainable growth.
  • Establish, track, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of product and technology initiatives. Adjust venture and product strategy to hit KPIs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Product and/or Engineering background in senior leadership roles.
  • 4+ years leading product and/or engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and articulate a clear vision for product and technology initiatives aligned with business objectives in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and allocate cross-functional resources effectively to drive results.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, customers, vendors, and partners.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Track record of delivering measurable results and achieving KPIs related to product performance, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
