About The Opportunity:

Prodigy is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Estimating team. We are searching for a skilled Construction Estimator to independently oversee project bids and tenders utilizing strong local industry-based expertise. This role offers valuable insight into competitive bidding, meticulous creation and review of budgets/estimates/quotes/bids, and supporting Prodigy in securing project opportunities across various sectors.

As a Senior Estimator, your key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the estimating team, mentoring and training junior members
  • Demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills
  • Being resourceful, flexible, and adaptable
  • Working effectively in a team environment, being self-motivated and capable of prioritizing tasks in high-pressure situations
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with contractors, suppliers, and user groups to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Researching historical tendering data and construction industry cost trends
  • Maintaining up-to-date Tender/Supplier lists as per project and company requirements
  • Attending project sites for meetings and walkthroughs
  • Independently creating detailed construction cost estimates from preliminary plans
  • Managing the bid process from start to finish efficiently and accurately
  • Preparing comprehensive bid documentation and contract award recommendations

About You:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in retail, commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Bluebeam, ProCore, On-Screen Take-Off, and related estimating software
  • Local expertise in estimating interior renovation/fit-out and ground-up commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents, contracts, health & safety, and building codes

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Office-based work with occasional site visits
  • Computer work, meetings, emails, and phone calls
