Job description
Room Checker (weekends Saturdays & Sundays)

Reporting to:
Housekeeping Manager (HM) & Housekeeping Supervisor (HS)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every opportunity.
• Ensure all rooms, public areas are clean and maintained.
• Inspects guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure that they are clean according to standards.
• Reporting all maintenance deficiencies to the maintenance department.
• Assisting and reporting directly Housekeeping Manager & Supervisor with daily housekeeping Operations to ensure for a smooth guestroom turnaround before 4pm arrival time.
• Ongoing communication with General Manager, Front Desk Supervisor, Maintenance.
• Maintains Lost and Found in Quore.
• Support the department with cleaning checkouts or stayovers should a room attendant calls in sick or when needed.
• Assists Room Attendants as required with stayovers and checkouts.
• Assists with Guest Requests, such as, extra pillows, towels, crib, cot, etc.
• Replenish pantries with linen and amenities as well as ensure they are well maintained.
• Conduct opening and closing reports.
• All other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Computer skills an asset: knowledge of Opera (PMS), Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking and time management skills
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times
• Must have a passion for delivering outstanding and personable service.
• Ability to think independently, possess good judgment, proven problemsolving skills and effective decisionmaking skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision
• 35 years hospitality background an asset
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

From $18.57 per hour
