What You'll Do:

  • Develop and deliver training materials to be used by staff and study participants on the technical aspects of using software and hardware technologies.
  • Prepare and maintain training materials and user manuals which may include a combination of Word, PowerPoint or PDF documents, outlining user processes.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to study participants in the use of the technologies, in person or remotely.
  • Facilitate regular training sessions for study participants, incorporating feedback from project team and depot research unit into future sessions.
  • Establish and maintain effective, collaborative, and professional relationships with research study stakeholders, including university staff, external entities and study participants.
  • Serve as primary technical contact for external vendors in order to operate, configure, and deliver new functionality or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Coordinate the configuration of user requirements.
  • Explore options to deliver new functionality, identify and recommend system enhancements according to user requirements.
  • Develop test case scenarios for the implementation of any new system or changes to existing systems:
  • Participate in the testing as a super user, set up test accounts.
  • Perform end to end quality testing.
  • Coordinate and review indepth tests, including enduser reviews, for modified and new systems, and other postimplementation support.
  • Analyze and design business process requirements for all studyrelated business, financial, and operations systems (Moodle, Qualtrics, Nview, Carre, Hexoskin, LLA Technology, data warehouse, and Apple Technologies) critical to the research units' projects.
  • Prepare regular reporting, compile data on the following: end to end quality testing; help desk support required; and, number of surveys and assessments completed.
  • Analysis of reports, provide recommendations to RCMP PTSD project and Principle Investigator.
  • Coordinate small projects and maintenance updates.
  • Elicit, analyze, specify and validate the business needs of the project stakeholders which may include researchers or administrative staff.
  • Plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business processes using an established project management framework.
  • Manage scope of the project in consultation with Project Manager and leadership team.

Position Requirements

What You'll Bring to this Position:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, or a related field
  • Five years of progressive experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
