Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services IT has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and client focused Organization Change Management (OCM) Specialist to join our project delivery team within the Provincial Support Services Projects portfolio. Leveraging your knowledge of Prosci, the OCM works in partnership with Project Managers, Business Sponsors and key stakeholders to lead the people side of technology change initiatives ensuring the successful adoption of the new system. The role may include developing and executing change management plans, including communications and training deliverables, and providing oversight and support for the execution of change strategies to ensure project success. To be successful in this role you will need a strong understanding of organizational change management methodologies and principles that will be applied to a large complex healthcare environment. You have the ability to learn and adapt quickly when presented with change and ambiguity. You are comfortable working in a matrixed environment both independently and as part of a virtual team with other people that are also highly passionate about using IT to support quality healthcare delivery to Albertans.

Description:

Some things that an OCM does at AHS: Work with project and senior leaders to create transformational change strategic plans that may contain multiple projects and initiatives, while ensuring the messaging is aligned with our overarching organizational change strategy. Support the development of project-specific change management scope, strategy, approach, and deliverables. Apply the Prosci methodology to perform assessments measuring organizational change readiness, change impacts and stakeholder engagement to define appropriate change actions. Using excellent interpersonal skills to work with project teams to integrate change management activities directly into project plans. Lead the development of change management plans, including communication and training plans, to prevent and mitigate resistance to change that facilitates adoption of the new technology. Coordinate and support the execution of change initiatives across impacted areas. Collaborate with or act as the training resource to build and deliver appropriate training and support to meet the unique needs of the area.Demonstrate strong teamwork skills that builds healthy working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and able to balance client consultation with core project team assignments.Define metrics and evaluation criteria to measure the success of change management efforts, report outcomes and advocate the benefits of formal change management.-Support peers, seek areas of improvement and actively contribute to advancing a change management community of practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent experience working in a health care environment with experience in technology project based change management, strategic planning, and patient and community engagement. Change Management certification is an asset, specifically in Prosci. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
