Bethesda is currently recruiting for 1 Full Time Contract Attendance Management Supervisor. This position will be based in Vineland.


Working with the Human Resources Department to promote Bethesda's values, vision and mission statement and quality client care, the Attendance Management Supervisor will work in cooperation and collaboration with the supervisory and management team to ensure the smooth operation of Bethesda programs through scheduling of all direct care employees.

The Attendance Management Supervisor will advise employees on staffing policies and procedures, legislation as it relates to the Employment Standards Act and the Collective Agreement.

The duration of the contract is twelve (12) months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a working schedule for all direct care staff
  • Cover unexpected vacancies on a daily basis due to sick, emergency, bereavement and other absences as they occur. Communicate with managers and residential supervisors as to the progress of the shift coverage. Split shifts and run through the electronic scheduling system and complete manual calls and texts as needed
  • Track all manual call outs for future reference if needed
  • Ensures coverage for all current shifts
  • Working with management, create and maintain attendance records
  • Ensure accuracy of staff and extra callin lists for distribution to Bethesda programs
  • Working in conjunction with the manager, identify and correct inconsistences in patterned absences through GoEasyCare reporting
  • Run reports and analyze data for the Attendance Support Program
  • Advise the appropriate internal staff of any scheduling issues or concerns that may affect the operation of specific programs
  • Utilize appropriate forms of communications with management, payroll and other pertinent personnel
  • Assist with payroll functions
  • Aid in keeping the HRIS/payroll software up to date
  • Assist with updating changes to staffs profiles
  • Liaise with external scheduling system providers to ensure product is meeting organizational requirements
  • Review and follow up on service tickets submitted to the Scheduling/Payroll developers
  • Respond to inquiries from staff
  • Maintain and adhere to confidentiality
  • Attend or participate in relevant training as requested or required
  • Provide training on electronic scheduling program
  • Create and maintain training resources
  • Provide scheduling advice as required.
  • Create and maintain reports on staffing hours and budgets for senior management and finance department/consultant

Qualifications:

  • A degree/diploma in Business or related field
  • Minimum two years' experience working with scheduling software and payroll
  • Must be familiar with all relevant legislation
  • Experience in the Development Disability Sector is an asset
  • Experience in a Unionized environment is required
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
