Chepstow Plant is currently seeking a Senior Regional Field Service Engineer to join their team in the Southwest of England. This role will involve collaborating with a dedicated group of field service engineers and welders/fabricators to oversee one of the most advanced quarrying fleets in the UK, consisting of approximately 150 front-line machines.Job Title: Senior Regional Field Service EngineerCompany: Chepstow PlantJob Roles / Duties:
  • Provide on-site diagnostics and technical support for the company's front-line assets, reducing reliance on OEM partners.
  • Monitor asset compliance to enhance preventative maintenance efforts, including areas like brake testing and inspections.
  • Coordinate with Head Office maintenance department to ensure timely resolution of repair and service tasks.
  • Supervise wear components across the region.
  • Conduct on-site repairs as needed to support maintenance activities.
  • Follow safe working practices and engage in training with OEM partners.
  • Use IT systems for paperwork completion, asset diagnosis, and inspections.
  • Collaborate with local suppliers, customers, and OEMs for efficient job completion.
Job Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in heavy construction plant repair and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and familiarity with diagnostic procedures.
  • Formal maintenance experience such as NVQ level 3 or equivalent is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and technical aspects of quarrying assets.
  • Strong communication, IT, organizational, and mentoring skills.
