Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs for both interior and exterior areas of our properties, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify any issues or potential hazards and take prompt action to address them.
  • Repair or replace damaged fixtures, equipment, or furniture to maintain a high standard of quality and safety.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from tenants, clients, or management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, materials used, and completed tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies during all maintenance work.
  • Conduct minor landscaping and outdoor maintenance tasks as needed, such as lawn mowing, snow removal, and cleaning of outdoor spaces.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for events or gatherings as required.
  • Source and purchase necessary materials and supplies for maintenance projects, while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with property management and other team members to prioritize tasks and ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and equipment, reporting any repairs or replacements needed.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to extend the life of equipment and minimize future repair costs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants, clients, and residents, addressing any concerns or inquiries professionally

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills to identify the root cause of maintenance problems.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure repairs are completed accurately.
  • Good communication skills to interact with tenants, employees, and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar maintenance role.
  • Proficiency in various repair and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform various hands-on tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members, tenants, and clients.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and maintenance techniques.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between properties.
