Position Summary:
Supervised by the Resort's Executive Pastry Chef, our Pastry First Cook is tasked with various preparation responsibilities, organizing tasks, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and upholding quality standards. Our culinary staff are required to prepare and present dishes for service, following the Chef's recipes and specified portion sizes, collaborating with the culinary team to consistently and efficiently deliver high-quality dishes.
What qualifications are we seeking?
- Experience in a high-energy environment
- Completed culinary training from a reputable institution preferred, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 1 year working in a professional kitchen
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Must possess a valid food safety certificate
- Capable of standing and working throughout a full day
- Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Availability for evening shifts, holidays, and weekends
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
