Support Worker:
Sutton
Home Care Assistance is hiring a support worker to work in a facility in Sutton. We strongly focus on continuity of care for our 1:1 clients. You do not need to be certified for this role. Experience with geriatrics is required. We have 8 hour and 12 hour day shifts available. The shift times are from 8am to 8pm and 12pm to 8pm.

Your typical day:

  • Assist with oneonone support for elderly resident
  • Keep resident engaged and safe
  • Assist at mealtimes
  • All other tasks required by the care plan
  • A passion for the job in helping others
  • Companionship and friendship
  • Engage in ROM exercise and mobility activities

Example:
going for walks, folding clothing together and exercise programs...

  • Connect with cognitive engagement to keep the client mentally stimulated

Example:
puzzles, games, skill building and social engagement...

Must haves:
- must have experience with dementia patients

  • Access to reliable transportation G License and valid insurance
  • Demonstrated working experience with the elderly, knowledgeable with respect to their needs
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Proof of valid Covid19 vaccines
