- Provide technical expertise for mine development, focusing on geological data analysis and risk assessment.
- Inspection, mapping, and interpretation of geological conditions during mine development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to validate geological models.
- Implement sampling analysis protocols to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Engage with a variety of stakeholders effectively.
- Update and maintain geological models using Deswik.
- Manage underground risks related to the operation.
- Prioritize geology-related tasks and allocate resources accordingly.
- Analyze geological data to support mine design.
- Recommend and enforce technical standards for geology.
- Train and support team members in interpreting geological conditions.
- Identify sampling areas to enhance ore body knowledge.
- Maintain adherence to Jansen core values.
- Assess risk, make informed decisions, and promote a risk-aware culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or equivalent.
- Experience in the Potash mining sector.
- Familiarity with Potash operations and evaporite orebodies.
- Strong data analytics and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and utilize agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and risk management abilities.
Downtown Saskatoon office with visits to the Jansen mine site.
40 hours per week, with hybrid working options available.
