The studio is currently working on future game experiences for the Mass Effect franchise, one of the highest rated video game series of all time, and the Dragon Age franchise, whose latest entry won 150+ Game of the Year awards.

The Technical Animator will report to the Technical Art Director

This is a temporary contract role

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Lead communication efforts related to assigned features
  • Examples include runtime systems, physics/ragdoll, and facial animation R&D and implementation
  • Ramp up on existing animation systems, tools, and pipelines to provide support and debugging
  • Support and debug procedural animation systems such as facial animation, destruction, cloth, and hair
  • Collaborate with design, character art, animation and outsourcing teams, with an eye toward overall character fidelity.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of technical animation experience
  • Experience in rigging and skinning assets
  • Proficient with standard industry tools such as Autodesk Maya
  • Experience identifying issues and resolving them quickly while exercising your decisionmaking capabilities
  • Experience testing your own work and reviewing with attention to detail
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple groups across departments
  • Dependable and demonstrates commitment to tasks and the project
  • An understanding of animation principles and anatomy
