On-highway Heavy Equipment Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance, repair, and diagnostic procedures onhighway vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicles and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement appropriate solutions to resolve problems.
  • Complete required paperwork, documentation, and service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and company policies while performing job duties.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding job status and any issues encountered.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman ticket in onhighway heavy equipment technician.
  • Experience working with highway vehicles and equipment is preferred.
  • Possession of a Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program (CVIP) certification is an asset.
  • Class 3 driver's license with a clean driving record is considered an asset.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
