Reporting to: School Principal

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are offering a unique opportunity for someone to take charge of housekeeping and maintenance duties during evening and nighttime hours in an educational facility. In this role, you will oversee tasks typically handled by janitors and maintenance workers, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional environment for all.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all cleaning and maintenance activities are completed as scheduled
  • Supervise unskilled workers in their maintenance tasks
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in optimal condition
  • Inspect lighting, heating, and ventilation systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs
  • Report damages and oversee repairs
  • Implement security measures and monitor access
  • Prepare rooms as required and manage material needs
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Participate in safety meetings and assist in training new employees
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks
  • Other related tasks as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and lighting systems
  • Basic understanding of building trades and proficiency in spoken English
