Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping and Receiving:

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments in accordance with established procedures and shipping methods.
  • Create shipping labels, and documents, and maintain accurate records for all shipments.
  • Ensure accuracy in shipping and receiving quantities and quality of products.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain organized and efficient inventory storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in the reconciliation of discrepancies.

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform quality checks on received and outgoing products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Identify and report any quality or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for handling hazardous materials and operating equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with various departments to coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal team members.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Further education or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed).
  • Good computer skills for data entry and label printing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • 2 years experience in shipping and receiving required.
