Role Snapshot

:

Join our Operations team and become an essential part of our facility's success.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Building Services/Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in maintaining our facility's optimal functioning.


Your responsibilities will encompass three key areas:
Equipment Maintenance, Sanitation, and Site Management.

Maintenance Responsibilities

:

  • Keep our equipment in top shape by conducting regular servicing and inspections.
  • Install and retrofit equipment as needed, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Follow precise procedures when working with sensitive materials and equipment.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment conditions.
  • Collaborate with production department heads to develop and implement maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory.

Sanitation Duties

:

  • Maintain cleanliness standards across our entire facility.
  • Handle trash, recycling, and sanitation in work and common areas.
  • Restock and sanitize restrooms, offices, workspaces, and more.
  • Play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness within cultivation and grow rooms.
  • Possess a working knowledge of cleaning agents, processes, procedures, and sanitation equipment.
  • Stick to cleaning schedules and maintain accurate records.
  • Team up with cultivation and processing to ensure equipment is properly cleaned.
  • Execute controlled grow room cleaning with precision.

Site Services Responsibilities

:

  • Uphold safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of interior and exterior operational spaces.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, inspecting and cleaning incoming equipment and materials.
  • Stay organized, pay high attention to detail, and remain focused with mínimal supervision.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy workspace while following facility standards.
  • Conduct regular site perimeter inspections.
  • Undertake outdoor maintenance tasks, including snow removal.

Qualifications that Stand Out

:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
    A certificate in a relevant technical field is a plus.
:

  • Solid grasp of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance best practices and procedures.
  • WHMIS or chemical handling training.
  • Ability to decipher technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with an eye for detail.
  • Effective communication, both within a team and independently.
  • Physical resilience for manual labor and maintenance tasks.
  • Experience in custodial, sanitation, or facility maintenance is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry is a bonus.

Requirements

:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
    Preferred certification or degree in a relevant technical field.
:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs (22 kg).
  • Adaptability to varying environmental conditions, both indoor and outdoor.
  • Willingness to follow safety and sanitation protocols, including wearing required PPE.
  • Mandatory full COVID19 vaccination and ability to provide proof.
