Responsibilities:

Unlocks and removes used cash vaults from transit vehicle fareboxes, replaces with empty cash vault, locks farebox.

Places cash vault into master cash vault and turns handle to empty contents into master vault.

Removes bad order cash vaults from service and identifies as B/O.

Records cash vaults emptied by recording vehicle number on the Farebox Vault and Vehicle Check In/Out Report.


Ensures all cash vaults in vehicles listed on Farebox Vault Report have been emptied and if not, locates missing vehicles and empties cash vaults as required.

Cleans master cash vaults and moves them to platform at start of shift.


Lubricates working mechanism with lubricant, and returns master cash vaults to receiving room at conclusion of each shift and cleans the receiving room.

Troubleshoots and repairs other minor to basic repairs pertaining to Fareboxes as required.

Keeps abreast with changes with the Farebox operating system. Ensure that the systems are up-to-date and report any malfunction of the system on a timely basis. Escalate any unresolved issues to the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:
Requires successful completion of high school (Grade 12) with the ability to perform basic math functions.

EXPERIENCE:
Requires up to one (1) month in the position to achieve orientation and training pertaining to Fareboxes.

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

25 hours per week

Work Designation:

Resident

This position works predominately on-site.

Rate of Pay:

Salary $4,200 - $5,042 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
