Reporting to Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting, as a Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible for developing SQL programs to extract data using different tools and technologies.

You will work closely with the business to understand the objectives and propose different solutions.

As a
Business Intelligence & Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze requirements, questions and recommend best Ad hoc and reporting solutions.
  • Research, Investigative, solve problems and answer business queries.
  • Work autonomously, oversee and develop endtoend data solutions from gathering requirements from different stakeholders.
  • Extract and transform data from all sources: Akora, Hadoop, Oracle, Excel etc.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of tables and their relationships within different layers of AKORA Hadoop architecture and external data sources.
  • Prioritize work based on emergencies and business impacts.
  • Create KPI, Reports and support in ongoing reporting activities.
  • Define, maintain and optimize new and existing business KPIs and Reports.
  • Innovative by automating manual reports.
  • Creates complex and comprehensive Business Intelligence reporting packages and dashboards using localized DataMart and external data sources.
  • Test and validate the quality and integrity of the data.
  • Execute on data requests accurately and within a timely manner.
  • Communicate using common business language with colleagues from various departments
  • Build positive and productive working partnerships by maintain a good relationship across the organization.

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:

  • Graduate or undergraduate degree in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science or relevant field.
  • Three (3) or more years relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of advance knowledge and experience of programming languages such as SQL.
  • Experience with big data tools, such as HADOOP, HIVE, etc.
  • Confident developing reports in various platforms using Impala/Hive.
  • Expertise in Excel, including, but not limited to, working with complex formulas, pivot tables, VBA, etc.
  • Strong research capabilities to find needed data.
  • Demonstrate robust collaboration and analytical skills and understanding of performance metrics.
  • Motivated to constantly strive to find innovative ways to enhance existing manual reporting.
  • High attention to detail while managing data and information.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work based on multiple deadlines and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to innovate by challenging the status quo and think outside the box.
  • Superb problemsolving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion in analytics with a customerfirst mindset.
  • Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • Selfmotivated, quick learner, team player with high energy and ability to work independently.
  • Expertise in working effectively in teams.
  • Knowledge of products and of the General Insurance market are an asset.
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI are an asset.
