Physician Assistants are currently utilized in our busy rural hospitals in the Emergency Departments. Opportunity exists to expand to Regional hospitals in a variety of areas.Description:

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from a recognized Physician Assistant Education Program.
A certified Physician Assistant with one of the following credentials:
Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA), granted by the Physician. Assistants Certification Council of the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants, or Physician Assistant. Certified (PA-C), granted by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in the United States of America. Registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience in Emergency Department settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability and willingness to assist where needed across the rural south zone.
As professionals supervised by physicians, PAs are to follow all CPSA Standards of Practice and comply with CPSA continuing competence requirements.
You will be responsible for maintaining continuing competencies through ongoing professional development including participation in education programs, research and continuous quality improvement activities.
