Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular security assessments and risk analysis of IT assets and networks to identify and address potential vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Monitoring network activity for security threats and breaches and investigating violations when they occur.
  • Installing, configuring, and managing security tools and software to ensure protection of information assets.
  • Consulting on the design and implementation of security measures, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with IT and Engineering teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into various systems and applications.
  • Staying updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address potential risks.
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on security best practices and protocols.
  • Responding to security incidents, conducting forensic investigations, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Consulting with Operations and Product teams on RFP response writing as needed to effectively convey corporate security policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Consulting on the assessment and review of third-party vendors and contractors ensuring ongoing compliance with JSI's security standards and practices.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as an IT Security Analyst or in a similar technical role.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
  • Experience with various operating systems and databases.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Familiarity with security compliance standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.
