We are currently looking for a
Relief Full Time Manager to provide support to our Long Term Care & Assisted Living - Access, Care & Transitions team located at
Queen's Park Care Centre in
New Westminster, B.C.
This position leads the team responsible for matching clients to new LTC and AL units and supporting care home with complex care and/or behavioural challenges.
This position is available until December 31st, 2023.In this key Manager role, you will:
- Provide overall leadership to the team of health professionals and clerical staff who are responsible for ensuring optimal access/flow and care/transitions to Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Convalescent Care and Hospice facilities across Fraser Heath.
- Responsible and accountable for managing the bed allocation systems for nonacute bed resources that include Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Convalescent Care and Hospice in a way that ensures effective and efficient use of resources consistent with Fraser Health and Ministry of Health policy and strategic plans.
- Identify and promote the development of research opportunities while collaborating with stakeholders, conducting service needs assessments and program evaluation.
- Manage assigned staff by hiring, directing, supervising and evaluating staff to ensure performance of expectations/duties including promoting, disciplining and terminating staff as required.
- Schedule and assigns staff, and coordinate staff activity to ensure daily business and operational support activities are conducted in a timely, effective and cost efficient manner.
We are looking for you to have:
- Baccalaureate degree in a health discipline supplemented by seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in a health care setting
- At least three (3) years of recent related management experience with Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Hospice, or Convalescent Care
- A valid Class V B.C. Driver's License
- Access to a vehicle for business related purposes
Effective October 26, 2021, all new hires to Fraser Health will need to have full COVID 19 vaccination (have received a full series of a World Health Organization "WHO" approved vaccine against infection by SARS-COV-2, or a combination of approved WHO vaccines).
