West Lynn Heights is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school with 235 students located in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, approximately 31⁄2 hours by vehicle northwest of Thompson, Manitoba. The area's natural beauty provides for an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. Dozens of lakes and rivers in the surrounding region make Lynn Lake a popular hunting and fishing destination.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education Degree and Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)

Master's Degree in Education/Administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset

At least five years of teaching experience and previous administration experience would be an asset

Excellent understanding of current Manitoba Curricula and differentiated instruction

Experience working in a northern community

Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life

Proficiency in a variety of computer applications in a network environment and experience with and understanding of school-based technology

Ability to work with teachers to promote and deliver inclusive schooling

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to effectively communicate with parents, the community and foster parental involvement

Keen ability to identify and creatively solve problems

Ability to work in partnership with community agencies

Capacity to work in and respond to a demanding, fast-paced school environment
