Business Analyst - Operational Solutions** to join our team in Montreal, Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business issues, define requirements, design computer programs, and recommend automated system controls and protocols to solve organizational information issues.
  • Determine operational objectives, gather information, and evaluate output requirements and formats.
  • Work closely with end users to analyze, define, model, and document systems requirements. Identify project milestones, phases, and elements, and keep team within timeline and budget.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications.
  • Implement system configuration changes, business events, custom reports and dashboards, data export/imports, etc.
  • Develop organizational change management framework and conduct user acceptance testing.
  • Create enduser documentation (e.g., user guides, process flow charts, training materials) and deliver training.
  • Partner with business and technical teams in establishing project teams and providing overall direction for the technology development components of projects from initiation through to delivery.
  • Gather required data from endusers to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications.
  • Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst primarily in software development environments. Experience creating Business Requirement Documents, Functional Specification Documents, mockups, UML diagrams and detailed test plans and cases.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with ERP and CRM.
  • Software Design experience is required, as is experience with Microsoft SQL server and database management tools.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining systems, as well as providing user support.
  • Ability to analyze and categorize issues in the context of organizational and functional objectives.
  • Ability to perform and document detailed analyses of the enduser's business processes and routine.
  • Solid understanding of current market trends from the solution, vendor and enduser perspective.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to act as a primary point of contact for external stakeholders such as Customers, Partners, ISVs and Internal stakeholders like developers, testers, and product managers.
  • Ability to take ownership and be autonomous.
  • Ability to focus and pay close attention to details while keeping sight of the larger issues.
  • Ability to learn, absorb and dispense new information, both technical and procedural.
  • Ability to present software products and technical solutions for internal stakeholders, partners and customers.
  • Solid understanding of software algorithms and development process.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Great communications and customer service skills.
