We are looking for a Mechanical Drafter in the manufacturing industry to join the growing team for our client in Hamilton, ON


Entry to mid-level position in engineering department for automotive above and in-ground lift Manufacturer, you will collaborate with engineers to complete complex projects and design new machinery and parts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare engineering design and drawings from preliminary concept sketches, engineering calculations, specifications sheets and other data.
  • Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
  • Complete documentation packages and produce drawings sets.
  • Check and verify design drawings to confirm to specifications and design data
  • Write technical reports
  • Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams, or layouts from sketches.
Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines required.
  • Hands-on experience with design, engineering and/ or fabrication of welded components
preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • An excellent grasp of engineering and design principles.
  • Be proficient in Solid Works.
  • Drafts person with minimum 2 year experience
