Position Summary

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including office, operations, and common areas.
Accountabilities

  • Perform daily cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
  • Perform or coordinate routine building and grounds maintenance and inspections.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the washrooms and restock paper products and hand soaps.
  • Empties trash receptacles and disposes trash into appropriate waste bins or dumpsters.
  • Sort recyclables and place them in appropriate recycling bins, compactors or gaylords.
  • Ensure lunchroom supplies are stocked and replenished.
  • Reports needs and concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Use cleaning chemicals following Safety Data Sheets and wearing required PPE.
  • Clean and disinfect hightouch surfaces.
  • Escalate any custodial, maintenance and/or safety issues to appropriate supervisor for resolution.
  • Set up and clean employee workspaces.
  • Assist with meeting setup and teardown.
  • Performs miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Knowledgeable of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to attend to detail, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift objects of up to 35 lbs.
  • Experience with using cleaning products and cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$19.00-$20.00 per hour

  • Milton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
