Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Competencies and Requirements:

Have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university;

Be a native speaker of the language to be taught;

Be proficient at the ILR level 4 in the language to be taught, as attested by a recognized language proficiency testing institution (such as ACTFL, if required);
-
Have experience in teaching a foreign language to adult learners;
-
Have knowledge of the culture of the specified country;
-
Be proficient at the ILR level 2 in either or both of Canada's Official Languages, as attested by a recognized language proficiency testing institution (such as ACTFL, if required);
-
Be a resident of Canada or possess a valid work permit;
-
Agree to the Code of Ethics for Language Teachers.
