Position Summary:


Provide support to Financial Operations by providing investigative analysis of financial and customer data in order to facilitate effective decision-making and financial reporting as well as account remediation to allow maximum eligible accounts to reach Plate Denial.


Direct Relationships:

  • Team Leader, Collections

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to monitor daily/monthly files to ensure Plate Denial backlog is reported out or escalated as per the Service level requirements of the plate denial process.
  • Assist with external audits, ensuring all documents needed to support the audits are obtained along with distributing audit reports to the Ministry of transportation.
  • Be responsible for the Preparation of 407 East reports for upload to the Ministry of Transportation, in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for monthly invoice reconciliations, which consist of reviewing/examining billings of plate denial Xpress
  • Canada Post.
  • Perform internal invalidation audits for Plate Denial which involves the ongoing selection of sample files, to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support Collections Team, with the reporting and cleanup of delinquent accounts for removal from Plate Denial list.
  • Support the Collection Analysis & Reporting team which involves reviewing queries and investigating accounts for the purpose of posting interest write off review
  • Perform adhoc requests as needed by the Finance department and Office of the President, with customer issues related to Plate Denial.
  • Keep current with the company policies and procedures, job aids; attend new training & continuous learning sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of postsecondary education or equivalent in a related Finance or Accounting field
  • Must have a min. of 2 years previous experience in Collections, Customer Service, or office environment
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, decision making, quantitative analysis, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing
  • Ability to excel in a fastpaced environment, meticulous attention to detail, work under pressure, tight deadlines, and repetitive tasks
  • A strong ability to work independently and exceptional organization and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to personal growth and development
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access)
