As part of our commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team.
As a 5 Ton Truck Driver at Watson, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the safe and timely delivery of food products to our valued customers.
Your primary responsibility will be to transport goods from our warehouse to various destinations, maintaining the integrity and quality of the products throughout the journey.
This position requires exceptional driving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented approach.Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a cargo van to deliver food products to customer locations within designated routes and schedules.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of products to prevent damage or spoilage.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks, reporting any issues or damages promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe and lawful transportation of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and customer signatures.
- Provide excellent customer service by establishing professional relationships with customers and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and loading of cargo vans.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting periodic stock checks and reporting discrepancies to the warehouse team.
- Follow proper handling and storage protocols for different types of food products, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized cargo van, both inside and outside.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license (Class 5) with a clean driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Familiarity with using GPS navigation systems and route optimization software.
- Ability to handle and transport goods of varying weights and sizes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual lifting and carrying tasks.
Working Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9:00 am-17:30 pm
