The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis.

The Red River Métis are Canada's Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.


The MMF seeks to fill
one full-time Corporate and Community Trainer position within our
Louis Riel Vocational College located at 150 Henry Ave in
Winnipeg, MB.

The Corporate and Community Trainer is responsible for assisting in the development and coordination of various training seminars in a variety of roles including but not limited to sales, marketing, admissions, proposal writing, college management (in Director's absence) and instructor training.


_ Job Duties/Competencies:
_

  • Create and maintain monthly training schedule;
  • Continue to work on personal educational capabilities to maintain fiscal responsibility and viability;
  • Market training through all social media and website platforms;
  • Recruit students for various programs throughout the fiscal year;
  • Create custom programming for marketing and delivery to our partners across Manitoba;
  • Deliver content and programming in all areas of the Province;
  • Assists the Director in the preparation of departmental reports;
  • Participates in projects as assigned;
  • Attend conferences and workshops focussing on development of resources or knowledge that benefits LRVC;

_ Skills and Qualifications:
_

  • Proven combination of relevant postsecondary education and/or work experience;
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a managerial role is preferred;
  • Experience in marketing, sales and customized course creation is preferred;
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work flex hours, evenings and/or weekends;
  • Experience working with boards and/or committees is preferred;
  • Experience working for a notforprofit organization and Indigenous community is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
  • Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
