Our expertise includes:

Nuclear Steam Plant (NSP) engineering, Balance of Plant (BOP) engineering, Plant Life Management and Extension, Retube Tooling Systems, Inspection and Maintenance Services, Steam Generator Replacement, Plant Equipment Refurbishment and Retrofits.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Preparing, distributing, and filing the Quality surveillance Plan Face Sheet (SPFS),
  • Review and disposition of supplier documents and procedures per the software schedule of the assigned Purchase Orders (PO),
  • Performing Quality Surveillance on assigned PO,
  • Verification and Witnessing of an inspection/test/examination per SPFS/ITP/Checklist,
  • Liaising with the Engineering Representative (ER) during the life of the PO as needed on issues requiring technical interpretation/guidance in the performance of QS activities. Reviewing and signing Parts 1 and 3 of the Design Change Instruction (DCI) to confirm acceptability of QA requirements and reviewing and authorizing supplier Deviation Disposition Request (DDR) for ER disposition,
  • Reporting and escalating, as needed, significant quality related issues on assigned PO to QA Manager, Procurement, ER and the OA and coordinating till resolution of the issue,
  • Raising a Supplier Corrective Action Request SCAR(s)ProAct for each finding,
  • Issuing Quality Program Surveillance Report (QPSR) and Quality Assurance Release (QAR),
  • Arranging for updates to relevant supplier records in the SQD and ensuring that supplier evaluation is placed into Evaluation Tab in SQD at the completion of each PO,
  • Filing all the records related to the quality surveillance activities (E.G. QS Plans, QPSR, QS Records, etc.),
  • Maintaining and monitoring the validity of qualification of all suppliers with open PO.
What will you contribute?

  • University Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with experience in the nuclear field.
  • Minimum of 5 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field,
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment and techniques,
  • Working knowledge of CSA N 285.0, CSA N 299 and CSA N28612 and ASME codes,
  • Qualification as NDE L2/L3 inspector is an asset,
  • Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems, and retube technology,
  • Good knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level,
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships,
  • Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
