In this role,
- you will facilitate the execution/construction for multi-disciplinary projects at the clients site.
- under the direction of the Superintendent, Capital Projects, you will assist the project engineering team to execute projects at site of internal resources and contractors and communicating project information to site stakeholders.
- contact, schedule and coordinate site resources and monitor and maintain the project construction schedule.
- it is a key resource in the safe and successful completion of capital projects and will be responsible for field construction support, including schedule, cost, change management, quality assurance, and facilitation between site stakeholders and contractors.
- you will lead safety inspections, job task observations and safety leadership.
- you will participate in project debriefings to identify areas of improvements and provide recommendations based on findings.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in construction supervision role, preferably in a mining or other industrial environment.
  • Previous experience with contractor management and direction.
  • Journeyperson ticket in applicable building trades preferred and supervision of trades preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in safe and efficient project delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills are essential
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with operational personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines and coordinate across multiple projects simultaneously.
