We are currently seeking Entry Level Sawmill Production/Labourer to join our fast-growing team in Surrey, BC Canada.

Position Overview:


Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Entry Level Sawmill Production/Labourer will either be available for
graveyard shift schedule or shift rotations (2 weeks day shift then rotating to 2 weeks night shift).

Entry Level Sawmill Production/Labourer job duties vary slightly according to position, but the basic duties include:

  • Starting and stopping machine at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Cleaning equipment at the beginning and end of each shift and keeping a clean workspace.
  • Monitoring machine during the shift and performing various tasks to ensure maximum throughput of lumber.
  • Being present and on time for each shift.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent (preferred);
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds;
  • Must be able to tolerate bark and sawdust;
  • Ability to stand, and move around, climb stairs;
  • Extensive movement of arms and hands;
  • Ability to work in all types of weather;
  • Ability to bend, stoop, pull, and push;
  • Ability to take direction is required as on the job training is provided;
  • The ability to work in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Have CSA approved safety steel toed boots;
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication;
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot;
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude.
