About the Role:

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic engineering team in Canada and China. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your bilingual skills, contributing to our global engineering operations and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.

Your key responsibilities will include:

People Management

Lead performance reviews, nurture team growth, manage hiring and mentor individual development.

Project Management

Oversee project planning and scheduling to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Solution Development

Make strategic decisions on utilizing technology to create innovative product solutions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate with Product Management, Operations, and Machine Learning teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.

You will collaborate closely with the CTO, offering not only significant growth potential but also exciting opportunities to engage in product development and machine learning initiatives, inspiring you to continuously learn and grow.

Experience : Qualifications:

Extensive application development experience

Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in managing remote teams.

Background in a technology company

Previous experience in a people management role

Strong understanding of the Software development lifecycle

Ability to develop robust technology processes and implement project management methodologies.

Proven experience with consumer-facing app/web products

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Comfortable working remotely and leading a distributed team.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related field

Open to working flexible hours to manage and lead our global engineering team.

Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin and English.

  • The ability to read and write in Chinese professionally is required.

Note: We are open to considering candidates for a Senior Engineering Manager position if you meet the qualifications.
