The Pines Long Term Care Home is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse The Pines The Pines is located in Bracebridge, Ontario and is owned and operated by the District Municipality of Muskoka.

Our cozyand comfortable home encompasses five resident home areas (one secure) and has four wonderful courtyardswith plenty of outdoor spaces to roam about.

The Opportunity Under the direction of the Director of Resident Care (DOC), the Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable to provideprofessional nursing care to residents and to supervise care given by staff.


Primary functions include assessment andplanning of resident care needs; delivery of skilled procedures according to the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice; medication administration; and documentation.


What You Will Do:

  • Provide for nursing care of residents inaccordance with established policies,physician's orders, the resident care plans andwithin the scope of practice of a RN
  • Order, receive and administer prescribedmedications and treatments in accordance withthe standards set by the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Observe and monitor condition of residents andreport changes in physical or mental status
  • Develop, implement, evaluate and adjustresident care plans.

What You Will Need:

  • Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BSc N preferred - Experience in long term careor rehabilitation is preferred
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Completed police record check, includingvulnerable sector screening What We Are Offering This is a Permanent Part-time opportunity at the District.
The hourly compensation range for this role is$34.40-$49.25.
