The Pharmacy Assistant's role is:

Assisting the pharmacist with day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities include:
Patient greeting & confirmation of all pertinent information

Receiving, processing, filling prescriptions

Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems

Handling & delegating OTC enquiries from patients & referral to pharmacist where required & necessary

Handling prescription pick up and assisting with cashier responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 -2 year experience as a pharmacy assistant working in a pharmacy is an asset

Experience with Kroll preferred.

Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills

Must be able to work independently & within a very busy team environment

Demonstrate ability to assist clients with concern, empathy, courtesy & respect while maintaining

confidentiality & privacy

Proficient computer data entry skills

Strong motivation to succeed & ability to work calmly & efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
