We are looking for a Community Mental Health Worker 2 to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at the Kamloops Mental Health Centre.

This position offers the possibility of working with other teams within Kamloops MHSU.

This role involves community outreach.

What will be your focus?

The Community Mental Health Worker 2 is part of the Hospitals & Communities Integrated Services (HCIS) healthcare team and a specialized Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) multi-disciplinary team. This role aims to ensure individuals with severe mental health issues and substance use disorders receive timely, evidence-based psychosocial rehabilitation.

Responsibilities include life skills support, advocacy, counseling, rehabilitation planning, and general support for clients living independently.

Reporting to the HCIS Manager, the Community Mental Health Worker 2 provides case management, sets rehabilitation objectives, and engages clients in community settings.

Scheduling Details:

Shifts include days and evenings with working hours ranging from 12:30 to 20:30, 08:30 to 16:30. This is a flexible position with varying work hours per week. Many long-term opportunities start as casual positions.
