Job Description:
Job Description Our client seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Warehouse Shipper/Receiver team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse.

You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and timely pickup/delivery of products as needed.

The job responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive and may be subject to change or modification based on the needs of the company.


Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments, and verify their contents against purchase orders, or packing slips.
Inspect and examine received goods for quality, accuracy, and damages.
Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate departments.
Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to established procedures.
Ensure accurate inventory counts by conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
Utilize warehouse management systems and software to update and maintain inventory records.
Organize and arrange products in the warehouse to optimize space utilization and facilitate efficient order picking.
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to load and unload goods safely.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Label all incoming items with job numbers and stage at the designated areaReceive and update purchase orders in the systemAssist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including order picking, packing, and inventory restocking.

Maintain regular upkeep of warehouse and yard cleanup Qualifications:

A valid G Driver's Licence with a clean driver abstract is a mustHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in warehouse operations is a plus.

Proven experience as a shipper/receiver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Proficient in using warehouse management systems and software.
Experience operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
Ability to lift heavy objects to 70 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed. *Forklift Licence and truck driving experience an asset.
