As a Physiotherapist at Fraser Health, you will provide physiotherapy services following the standards set by the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC), Fraser Health's mission, values, and physiotherapy acute care standard. In collaboration with the interprofessional care team, you will strive to deliver patient and family-centered care, offering assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans, and patient education to promote optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physiotherapy assessments to determine the patient's condition, needs, and goals
- Analyze needs, establish diagnoses, and develop intervention strategies to achieve optimal health outcomes
- Implement evidence-based interventions and educate patients and caregivers on self-management and health promotion
- Collaborate in care planning processes and ensure effective care implementation
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly
- Maintain patient records and document progress and treatment results
- Provide physiotherapy information and inservices to healthcare team members
- Participate in team activities to enhance care delivery and promote evidence-based practices
- Act as a resource for other physiotherapists, assistants, and students and provide guidance when needed
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to quality and safety initiatives
- Engage in research, special projects, and committees to enhance practice and patient care
- Perform other related duties as delegated
Requirements:
Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC)
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members
Knowledge of physiotherapy theory, standards, tests, and equipment
Collaborative and independent work capabilities
Basic understanding of research methodology and tools
Physical ability to perform job duties and operate relevant equipment
