Excavator/ Truck & Equipment Operator
The Excavator must be able to use an excavator for materials, including removal of gravel, dirt, and existing pavement.

This will be completed through use of a mini excavator, a walk-behind skid steer, as well as a concrete truck and dump trailer.

Job duties also include grading of excavated areas and dumping excavated material at dump sites.

Job Duties:

  • Driving trucktrailer, concrete truck and dump truck with equipment to locations
  • Safely load, tie down immobilize, and secure all equipment and materials in a safe manner in accordance to Ministry of Transportation guidelines
  • Loading and unloading equipment onto trailer and preparing cite for excavation
  • Excavation and dumping of material
  • Perform posttrip inspections of machines, and record information on form. Check and fill all fluids daily as required. Lubricate equipment daily as required

Requirements:

  • Clean driving abstract
  • Full G with A endorsement and/or DZ or AZ Class license required
  • Experience with driving a truck with trailer, concrete truck and dump truck
  • At least 2 years experience with concrete work and using a concrete pump
  • Ability to read and understand grade stakes (asset)
  • Follows safe working procedures
  • Ability to work alone and within a team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience driving a concrete truck and dump truck with a full G with A endorsement and/or DZ or AZ Class license
  • Minimum 2 years experience doing concrete work and using a concrete pump
  • Minimum 2 years Experience delivering construction equipment, materials, and job site supplies
  • Good communication skills, with ability to listen and follow direction effectively
  • Physical capability (this job will require some lifting, bending, shovelling, raking etc. when loading/unloading), with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation:
$25-35/hr depending on experience
